What you'll be doing 

As an Engineering Manager of the Data Platform team, you'll play a key role in leading and mentoring a team of software engineers to build scalable, high-quality solutions for our payment ecosystem. Here's what your day-to-day will look like:

• Lead and mentor teams – By managing and supporting a team of engineers, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and technical excellence.

• Drive technical innovation – By guiding the development of scalable, secure, and efficient software solutions and ensuring best engineering practices.

• Enable cross-functional collaboration – By partnering with product managers and other stakeholders to ensure projects align with business needs and technical requirements.

• Ensure high performance – By overseeing daily team performance, conducting regular one-on-ones, and providing constructive feedback to help engineers reach their full potential.

• Architect and scale systems – By contributing to technical decisions that shape the evolution of our payment platform, ensuring robustness and scalability.

Our tech stack includes Redshift, Kinesis, Airflow, Fivetran, Hex and AWS infrastructure. We use DBT for data transformation, SageMaker and AWS Batch for ML training and inference.

Who we're looking for

• Leadership experience – Proven track record of managing cross-functional engineering teams, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on growth and technical excellence.

• Technical expertise – Solid experience in software/data engineering, with a focus on scalable architectures, data modeling and management, and cloud-based environments (AWS preferred).

• Strong communication skills – Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders across different levels.

• Problem-solving approach – With a strategic mindset and the ability to navigate complexity to ensure efficient and impactful solutions.

• Mentorship mindset. Passion for guiding engineers, sharing knowledge, and supporting career development.

• Passion for FinTech or Startup environments. You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced settings and are enthusiastic about contributing to the growth and innovation of a FinTech or startup company.

• Language proficiency – You have fluency in English.
